On every forum I've ever joined, this question comes up. I hope the list I compile here will be a big help to some. This first list I post is one I copied from another forum, but I've edited it by adding some things.

International
All engines except as noted were IH red. The following info came from someone who was a former IH employee.
"International paid Cummins, Detroit and Cat about $25 per engine to have them all painted IH 2150 Red for many years. The practice ended in the '70's, as I remember, and we (International, my employer) pocketed the 25 bucks. Concerning the blue International V-800 in the Paystar, marketing decided that International's new big bore engines should be blue to distinguish them from the competition"
Mack - Pre 90 Gold, Post 90 Grey
During the 1980's, there were red, and light blue engines as well.

Exceptions, some truck manufacturer's use their own colors instead of the engine builders color
Peterbilt - White through 1984 then engine manufacturer color

Might as well include the available paints as well

Testors Model Master Automotive Laquer Metallic 1969 Ford Acapulco Blue or Tamiya X13 Metallic Blue are really good matches for the metallic blue of the International V800 engine. That's the engine in the 4300 and Paystar kits.
